  7.              SCRIPT FILE FOR CHANGING YOUR TERMINAL PARAMETERS
  8.                   TO SUPPORT UPPER AND LOWER CASE ON CIS

  11.  If you have been referred to this file for help, it is most likely that
  12.  your messages on the Forum and/or your uploaded files have been received
  13.  and reproduced on CIS in UPPER case only.  We strongly urge that you
  14.  enable upper AND lower case for these tasks.  In general, because this
  15.  is an electronic, faceless, emotionless medium, it has become common
  16.  practice to use the upper case to add "personality" or emphasis in a
  17.  message, i.e.  "Is that REALLY the case?".  The following is a script
  18.  file that will help you to enable upper and lower case on the Forum/CIS.

  22.    1. At any Function: prompt or !  prompt, type "GO CIS 9" (omit the
  23.       quote marks now and hereafter).  This will bring you to the DEFALT
  24.       menu.
  25.  
  26.    2. Select Item #5, which is View or Change Terminal Parameters.  A new
  27.       menu will come up.
  28.  
  29.    3. Select Item #5, which says "Terminal Supports".....  (it probably
  30.       already says "UPPER/LOWER", but if it doesn't, the next step will
  31.       fix it all with one keystroke)

  33.    4. This next menu describes the possible combinations.  Select Item #2,
  34.       which is "Upper/Lower case.  CAPS off".
  35.  
  36.    5. You will now be returned to the Terminal Parameters menu.  Item #5
  37.       should now say "UPPER/LOWER" and Item #6 should now say "CAPS OFF".
  38.       If this is not the case, then go back to step 5 above, otherwise,
  39.       press <enter>.

  41.    6. You are now returned to the original screen.  Pick Item #6 to exit
  42.       DEFALT.

  44.    7. When the new menu comes up, be sure to select Item #1, which will
  45.       make your new parameters permanent.
